It’s not every day you hear someone as passionate about what they do as Sam Amoresano is about his work, and it’s exciting. A senior executive with global experience in governance, enterprise risk management, risk mitigation, compliance, finance operations, mergers and acquisitions, finance transformation, internal control (and the list goes on) Sam is passionate about helping companies navigate their current challenges, with a special affinity for up and coming businesses.

Most recently, Sam served as Head of Internal Audit / VP at Avis Budget Group, Inc. Here, he directed all aspects of the global Internal Audit function including team development, Sarbanes-Oxley program management, risk management, and audit plan development, amongst many other duties. Having served there for 11 years, Sam brought his decades of experience to that role, which led to his department paying for itself, with recoveries exceeding department costs by 450%. Prior to that, Sam Amoresano served as Director of the Sarbanes-Oxley Project Management Office, Internal Audit, where he developed material and provided global training and ongoing support to more than
500 people in the organization.

Sam also served as Senior Finance Manager and Business Partner of Information Technology for Avaya, Inc., and as Senior Finance Manager of Corporate Accounting. In these roles, he accelerated results reporting to the Chief Information Officer from 3 weeks to 6 days, and created financial processes associated with the sale of the Global and Emerging Markets business ($800 million in sales to 750,000 customers). From 1998-200, Sam was the Assistant Controller, BCS International of Lucent Financial Services at Lucent Technologies, Inc., and from 1990-1996 he was the Finance Manager of Corporate Technology at Colgate-Palmolive Company.

A graduate of Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, Sam Amoresano received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Accounting, specializing in Accounting.
